I have a 68 Chevy Camaro that has a TH350 automatic transmission and a Hurst Pro Street shifter in the floor. "It used to be a column Shifter". When I bought the car, the floor shifter was already installed, the trbl is that I have no reverse lights. If I were to install them myself, How whould I go about doing this and where would I start http://www.camaros.net/forum/confused.gif

get a switch and install it by the shifter(It should have a provision for one). from there you will need a color code for the wire under the dash for the backup lights. run 12v to the switch then the other end splice into rev wire.

If the original column is still in the car, look towards the base of the column and see if the original neutral safety/reverse light switch is still there. It would be on the "topside"...disconnect the connector described below...

If it is gone, look for a two terminal connector with a light green and a pink wire going to it that would reach that area...these are the reverse light circut wires.....simply "extend" these wires to Your reverse light switch on the shifter...

I don't know about the Hurst, but, the B&M Pro Stick comes with the neutral safety, but, not the reverse light switch....it can be purchased seperatly..

While You are there.....I would also extend the two heavier guage purple wires to the shifter....these are your neutral safety switch wires.....Good Luck!
