Just wondered if someone might have a idea of where to start on a small wiring problem hopefully,When I turn my key to start my car it clicks and then a lot of times after 2-3 times turning it it starts finally, like it isnt making good contack, the car has a new motor , new starter, good grounds to motor and frame, and new leads, I am not sure about the neutral safety switch since the last owner put in a afternarket shifter, but I know no matter how the shifter is positioned neutral or park it doesnt help always does the same thing, you turn the key and sometimes nothing sometimes and you have to keep turning it several times till it starts or sometimes it just fires right up.But when I try to hold the key on and move shifter either direction it still won,t start so I dont think it is neutral safety switch . I also know a new starter can be bad ,any possibility of horn relay, starter relay switch or maybe some of you have experience similar problems and can give me a place to start checking or a item to try to replace or check with a voltmeter, thanks,

I'd start by eliminating the easiest possibilities first. If it were me, starting by checking the solenoid and working my way to the ignition would be the thing to do.
