My car was originaly a stick shift car. When I bought it there was no engine or tranny. But I see a neutral and back up switch hooked up.
I will instal a six speed and what should i do with those wires.( I now I gues I can coonect the neutral safety switch to by pass) How do you hook up neutral safety and back up lights with the six speed.
Thanks.

if it was originally a stick shift car, the neutral safety switch has a plastic rod that goes from the clutch pedal to a swith mounted on the pedal bracket. it can be re-used with the 6 speed unless you change pedals. as for the reverse lights, you can make an extension harness and hook it up to a switch that will be in the side of the tranny somewhere- if it is a T56. if it is a Richmond or something, you might be SOL on the reverse lights without some fabricating a bracket to mount a switch on either the tranny by the reverse rod or on the shifter.

The Richmond includes an OEM style switch built into the trans.
