I have a 68 Camaro that came from the factory with a 6 banger in it,I have a V-8 in it now and the front lighting harness and engine harness are in pretty bad shape but the Camaro cataloges have a different part # for the V-8 & the 6 cyl,but they both came with auto on the tree,warning lights,no console or anything like that,shouldn't the v-8 front light & engine harness work,I mean the both have a dist.,coil,starter,etc..,or would I have to replace the complete harness from the front to back in order to get an engine and light harness for a V-8.The dash harness does not have a seperate part # for V-8 and a 6 cyl,,,,Any help would be appreciated Thanks Camaro BOB

There are different wire lengths for the same functions between the 6-cyl and V8 engines, hence different p/n's.
