up-date i checked what grounds i could see as well a few minutes ago they seem to be in good order unless there are grounds that they hid on these cars someplace..

shadow, front and rear bulbs must be functional ... sometimes a bulb will look good and still not work ... check that back and front are both illuminating ... make sure that you are using the correct bulbs... use a multi-meter or ohm meter to check the ground ... a visual inspection is not always sufficient ...

Cheap trick I've used for years normally finds it. Remove the left rear socket from the bezel. Turn on the turn signal. Touch a piece of wire to the lamp's metal base near where it meets the glass. Touch the other end of the wire to a good ground. This provide a good ground right to the lamp. If the trick doesn't work on the rear, try the front. If it works, cut out the socket and solder a new one in. Don't try and "fix" the crimp joint. It won't stay fixed.

i'll have to try that john and thx

the only person i know in person who had this prob had the short in his dash light panel and had to replace it (a expensive GM part that is hard to find due to the fact the part number has since changed...)

in any case i will give that a whirl and see what comes of it and let all know
