Are the heater controls in a '67 suppose to be lit?

My service manual says an 1895 bulb was used on the heater panel from 67-70.

For future reference there is one bulb on the passenger side of the control head under the dash.

The AC/heater control I’m using in mine is a cherry one I pulled it out of a Firebird in a junk Yard in 75 and stored it for years. It’s the only one I’ve seen like it; there is a fiber optic from the bulb socket to the other side of the heater control. It’s shorter than the ashtray fiber optic used on the 68's.
