Where does the high beam indicator light wire connect into the harness? I pulled my cluster out and the wire has been snipped off after about 5 inches. I looked in the wiring diagram and did a search, but did not find a good easy answer.
Thanks

scott,

one goes to ground and the other goes to the dimer switch.

i would use a wire probe, clip the wire of the probe to ground, and look for the cut wires, then turn on the high beams, and test for a wire that lights up the probe when the high beams are on,and you should have it.

I have looked around and cant find any cut wires. The dimmer switch wires go up into the wiring harness that is coverd and I don't want to start yanking the covering off. Does the wire come from one of the connectors behind the cluster? Just looking for some easy way instead of running a new wire from the dimmer.

I just looked at a 68 harness...the light green hi beam indicator wire comes out of the dash harness all by itself approx 6" towards the pass side from where the cluster connector wires come from... the same spot that the reverse light wires come from if Your car was originally a column shift car...
Hope this helps...

Mine is a 4 speed, but I think I should be able to locate it now with those directions.
Thanks
