I replaced the 194 type bulbs in the speedo and fuel gauge areas behind the geen/white strips. replaced the stubby fuse or instruments, jiggled the wires, etc. I still can't find the problem. All other electrical stuff works great....

Check all your grounds! There is one in particular for the center dash bezel that tends to be loose. I bolted mine on to make sure. Clean on the terminals also. Is it just the dash lights not working?

Also make sure that when you screw the high beam indicator light in the dash carrier assembly that the ground wire (piece of metal wire with a loop in it) is screwed in.

Well, I traced the individual wies for both fuel and speedo and cleaned the grounds + used dielectric grease on them, I didn't see any ground "metal wire loop" for the high beams...Is this locatd on the lower bulb tray for turn signals, gen light etc.? (To me, elect. probs. are the worst) And my wife won't hold the flashlight forever (smiles) Oh, 1 more tidbit... The fuse for the instruments is the tiny AGC 2 or 3 amp. Right? It wasa bit rusty, so I scraped it down real good just in case .
