Hello everyone, This is probably a dumb question and I couldn't find any info in the archives. Where is the correct mounting for the voltage regulator? I have a GM and a Goodmark core support and neither have 3 holes that will line up with the regulator holes. The last 3 cars I built I used internal regulator alts and didn't bother with the external. Now I'm trying one back to stock, but can't figure out where to mount the regulator! Thanks, Jeff Parker

The regulator mounts to the left upper part of the core support, near the radiator. The holes for it are about 3/8"-7/16" or so diameter. The regulator was originally mounted with well nuts, so that's the reason for the large diameter holes.

Maybe some pictures would help.

You can order the correct well nuts from any of the resto house. The reason for the well nuts is to provide vibration dampening. The regulator mounts just to the left of the radiator near the top of the core support.

Hello everyone, Thanks for the replies. Evedently, I need to enlarge the holes. There are not three holes big enough to use the well nuts. The repro and GM have the same holes. I did find 3 holes that line up, but the well nuts will not go through those holes. Thanks for the pix, they do help! Thanks again! Jeff Parker

Looks like Jeff & I had the same question. Thanks for the help.
Any chance Cfunk could send a picture of where the horn relay should go??? Gotta be perfect.
Thanks,
Steve

Ok, here you go.
Horn Relay Location (http://www.funkconsulting.com/67camaro/hornrelay)
The bracket you see to the left in the pictures holds the washer fluid tank. I haven't reinstalled it yet. The 2 bolts on the right in the middle picture are the radiator mounting flange bolts.
