Is there a priority or order of importance to replacing the sections of wiring? I have my car disassembled and would like to replace the wiring where it might pose a safty hazard or be problematic to replace at a later time.

I replaced all of my harnesses with the car assembled. I did do the dash, front to rear, and courtesy light harnesses while I had the interior stripped - the dash is the toughest but if you have it all taken apart should not be a problem - just make sure the dash harness goes BEHIND the two metal support rods behind your plastic dash carrier - otherwise the carrier won't fit correctly (I still need to fix mine graemlins/clonk.gif ).
The dash harness is where you will probably find the most splices and other problems followed by the engine harness.
Very easy to do - just remove old harness as you put in the new or if all are out already refer to the assembly manual.

Save up a little extra tuna and do it all at once, you won't be sorry. If you can't afford to do it all at once, you definately want to replace the dome light wiring because it hardens near the terminals because of the heat from the bulb. Second priority is the dash and rear light harness. If you want to replace the engine harness, buy the whole thing. Again we are back to the most economical in the long run solution. Good Luck
