I have a 68 Camaro with a delux steering wheel, i.e., there is a 3-spoke horn shroud, two horn buttons, two wires running from each horn button contact, both wires attached at their other end to a brass-looking connector, a small plastic(?)ring is around wire ends and abbuts connector, this apparently plugs in a hole near the center bolt. The steering wheel was removed during a repair and now that it is back on, the horn doesn't work. Should there be a contact spring and pin in the hole where the wires plug in (as there is for a standard steering wheel with a center horn cap)? There's nothing in the hole now so I assume that whatever should be in there was lost inadvertantly when the steering wheel was removed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

most of the Camaro vendors sell new springs and contacts. I got mine from Firewheel. Rick's also sells them.
