On my 79 the A/C blower is on everytime I turn on the car. Is this normal? The switch on the inside is off, but the blower is still going. It doesn't spin fast like when I turn on the A/C. It's a slow spin, but you can always hear that it's on.

Some GM cars of that era had "full-time" low blower speed; check your owner's manual and it will tell you.

I think this was a 70's thing. My truck's the same way. The idea was to keep the passenger compartment pressurized so fumes wouldn't seep in.
