Can anybody tell me how to convert my 69 camaros altenator to a single wire configuration. I have a single wire alt on it's way from Summit. Thanks.

The "techref" written about alternators does not include any wiring instructions for "one-wire" alternators due to the fact that I've never done one.

The only input that I can give would be to wire up the alternator to the distribution point at the horn relay (where the original alternators output would go). If there is a "shunt" mounted there for a factory amp meter, you have to be sure which side you wire it up to in order for the gauge to work.

Somewhere down the road, I'll have to add information on the conversion, but I need a car (and alternator) to verify that I'm not just "flapping my lips".
