Okay, I can now get the ignition switch off but I don't have the connector piece and the wires are not hooked up properly. This is the stock harness, it just that one of the previous owners must have of re-wired it. I have the 68 wiring diagram, but it doesn't help. It only shows a picture but doesn't tell me what color goes to which label (i.e. GRD, KEY+, KEY-, SOL...)
I drew a picture to reference, does anyone know where each wire goes?

Thanks!

The best thing to do would be to go to a local junk yard and cut off that section of loom from a car with a similar switch. Get about 12 inches of wire plus the connector.
This may seem like a waste, but I'd bet it will save you a ton of time.

I would love to, but the bone yards around here really don't have any first gens in them. Any suggestions where I can buy one? Is the ignition harness sperate from the under-dash harness?

We'll try to work this out from the wiring diagram.
BAT Terminal - Red #12 to slice on Red wire to light switch.
ACC terminal - 2 wires #24 BROWN/White tracer and #12 BROWN to
SOL terminal - #12 PPL to neutral safety /clutch switch.
IGN Terminal - #12 PINK to bottom left fuse on fuse panel and thru bulkhead connector where it turns into the #20 W/B and Purple Resistor wire to the Ignition Coil
KEY (+) - #20 Pink Wire to Bulkhead connector where it turns into the 20 P,DBL/B wire and ends up on the Horn Relay
Key (-) - #20 Black Wire to 10 pin connector by emergency brake (Must tie into the door switch circuit at this connector)
This is the best guess I can make from looking at the wiring diagram.

Thanks Mark C!!!! You sure guessed it! You were missing one wire, but you had the exact order... The funny thing is, I still had the problem. I started tracing the wires and I found out there was a 12v red wire running to the pink wire with a black stripe. Looks like they were running an alarm off there. I pulled the wire and it all works! Hooray... I have not more electrical problems http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif
I'll post the picture to help anyone else out. Here is the picture:

Once again, many thanks Mark C!!
