a year ago i rebuilt my original 37 amp alternator to a 90 amp one.6 months later i notice battery acid on radiator.check battery voltage when running it was 15 amps.so i replaced voltage reg with original ac delco.now lights pulse with rpm.low idle no problem.voltage at battery is 14 now.all grounds are good,and wiring looks good. and yes voltage reg has its own ground wire from frame.the only other thing that is weird is my amp gauge has never worked.i have had the car 5 years.did not have voltage at gauge.next step is to replace gauge after i figure out why lighs are pulsing.
