I was reading on some other sites about gapping plugs .010 more when running a HEI. I changed mine from .035 to .045 and all seems well. Has anyone else tried this? I foul plugs a lot and have "bad" (rich) exhaust fumes, was hoping this was the reason although I still have bad smelling exhaust. I set up the carb with a vacum guage and put smaller jets in trying to solve the strong exhaust.
