When I bought my car the horn didnt work as I already have all the interior out I thought I may as well fix everything and whan I took the steering wheel off I saw that the button was not connected to anything, all there is is two strangely positioned tabs on the other side of the button. I have no idea how they work and after reading a bunch of old posts I am only more confused, I have some pisc up on my homepage in my sig page 4
Thanks as always

Brian,
One of the tabs on the button should go to a ground and the other one to the horn relay wire. On your pictures the disc with the tube on it (the other side of that disc should have a round brass ring on it) should have some type of plug that goes into it. The tube probably has a slot in it and a little bit of a groove going just a little bit around the circumference of the tube. The connector that goes into that tube has a short wire on it, has a round plastic housing with a little nub off of the side, and a spring. The tube with the connector that has the wire and spring on it slides into the tube in your picture and then with a few degrees of twist the nub lock it all together. If you were to now put that much together on the wheel and take the short wire and touch it to the threaded center portion of the column where the steering wheel nut goes the horn should sound. If so put that one wire to the horn button and then make up another short wire to go from the other terminal on the horn button to a mounting bolt for the steering wheel itself. Now when the horn button is pushed the horn should sound.
I hope this helps a little. I looked but I couldn't find any pictures real quick to show this push in connector.

I would also take a litte super fine wet/dry sandpaper or a fine scothcbrite pad to the brass ring on the backside of the disc you have shown in the one picture. This will help ensure the horn will work regardless of it's position and also hit the brass end shown in the picture nect to it that makes contact with the ring.
