having trouble getting my wiper motor and w/s washer pump to work. does anyone know what i should be seeing at the wiper switch as far as with a test light. is one terminal suppose to be hot and then the other 2 as you move the switch???? i can make the motor run if i touch i think it is the middle terminal on the wiper motor itself?? am i not getting a ground somewhere?? i have tried another motor and the same problem, if i knew what to be looking for at the switch itself i might know where to start. i have always had trouble with wiper motors and fuel gauges and horns for some reason or another but i want to get this wiper problem solved b-fore i move on, thanks

GM wiper circuits depend on a ground at the switch - check and make sure the ground connection is solid; on a '69, there's a sheet metal ground strap sandwiched into the switch attachment - don't know what year you have.
