i replaced a gauge. i took out the circuit board because i am putting in all mechanical gauges. now my brake light ont work when my headlights are on. it seems that they are on at all times. also my parking lights go on when i brake. any suggestions? can i rewire these things?

Check your four way flasher switch, did it get depressed when you pulled the dash?
Also it sounds like it could be a poor ground, first check the ground to the intstrument cluster, then the ground of the tail light bulbs, or the bulbs may be reversed, do your brake lights work when the lights are off?

yeah. my brake lights work when the headlights are off. where are the grounds for the taillights.

check for a loose / bad ground .i had none and wiggled the wires would work, was the splater paint in the trunk (bad ground).
