Horn lead is grounded somewhere. You'll have to disconnect the circuit and find out where it's grounded. For example, at the firewall, wiring harness or in the steering column assembly. A test light may come in handy. If for nothing else, hook the test light up in place of the horn so you don't go insane while troubleshooting it.

Sounds like the wire or the horn button assembly is grounding to the steering column, take it apart again and check to make sure that it's not grounding against anything metal until you push the button. Good luck and welcome to the site...Mike graemlins/waving.gif

Welcome to the site!
Kinda tough to tell what is wrong without seeing it in person since the wheel is aftermerket. The horn works by grounding the circut when the button is depressed. Something is grounding out.
You'll have to backtrack by removing the horn button etc and reassemble it and see what part blows the horn when it is put back on...

I guess everyone agrees, its grounded. :D I'm not sure how your horn is assembled. On a stock wheel, there is a metal cup that is attached to the button. The cup is insulated from the wheel by a plastic ring with grommets where three screws attach it to the wheel. If that was left out, the horn would be grounded all the time. Could that be it?
