The one you are talking about probably does not have a vacuum advance, and probably a computer connection in addition to the power connector. hope this helps ------------------ Steve Esposito 68 Pro-Touring SS Ragtop http://camaro.68.home.att.net Rsmith1969 Jan 2nd, 02, 10:07 AM Not knowing the year of the Car This can be a concern also you may have to run a wire ( Switched hot when the ignition is on ) to the distributor. Older Camaros had a resistance wire that would not allow a full 12v to the coil. HOTROD69CAMARO Jan 3rd, 02, 06:27 AM Are you aware that this large cap HEI may hit the firewall in a first gen camaro? dgevans Jan 7th, 02, 12:34 AM Just to see if this is you question, you want a hei that has an advance, and that doesn't require a computer, try the 77 buick skylark 350, (chevy motor) no computer required, uses a pickup coil, and the coil in the cap, look for the 3 wire input plug and a single power wire, with the other port in front for the tach, or you can get a hypo coil and pickup system to go in the original setup from varies hi-perf books. let me know if this helps.
