I picked up a mid 70's am/fm radio. It has the 6 slot thin wiring recepticle on the rear. What cars (junkyard) would have a compatable plug for this radio? I assume any Chevy from he 70's would work. I want to install it into my next '69 if it doesn't already have am/fm.

Also, at the same time I picked up the am/fm, I scored a '69 am radio in near mint condition. It still has the 'instruction' label attached to the pushbuttons. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I believe what you are describing is a "DIN" plug.

Can be gotten from Radio Shack.

Just about any mid '70's GM car equipped with a similar radio should have what you need. I doubt you're going to find a factory plug at radio shack.
