I recently obtained an accessory 8 track player (2 knob type) model #7305301. The wire harness connectors have been cut. It looks like there were three braches coming from the back of the unit. 1)red, black and green 2)Two blue, two brown 3) Two black wires screwed into the back of the unit. Does any one know the correct wiring for this unit? What wire goes where?

The black, red and green are the power feed to the unit from the dash wiring. Red is 12 V to the player, Black is power back to the dash radio, so the radio turns off when the tape player starts, Green is input from the fader (U80) on the radio to the right rear speaker.

The two blue, two brown (although I suspect one of those is really purple) are the (+) feeds to the 4 speakers. I think brown and purple are for the front 2 speakers, The blue and brown are the rear speaker (+), the two black ones are the grounds from the front two speakers. The two rear speakers are grounded to the rear seat support inside the trunk.

first connector:green,black,red
green=front fader for factory radio
black=power to radio
red=12 volts

black=left front spkr grnd
brown=left rear speaker (+)
blue=right rear speaker (+)
black=right front spkr grnd
brown=left front speaker (+)
purple=right front speaker (+)
