I have a 1994 Dodge Intrepid that I have been having a lot of problems with lately. The other day I was riding along when all of a sudden the radio went dead. When I stopped to check the fuse box, I noticed that the auto door-locking system and auto trunk release was non functional as well. The battery cables are all tight and the battery is brand new. I even changed the batteries in the hand remote. All of the fuses all seem to be fine and the relays all seem to be fine as well. Does ANYBODY in here know what could have caused this to happen?

I do electrical guru work for some of the local repair shops. A couple of years ago I got a call about an Intrepid that was acting goofy. The instrument panel as well as a few other things would go dead intermittently. After changing the body control module the guy still couldn't get it to work all the time. After losing a few more hairs, I traced it back to the ignition switch. The thing has about 20 wires connected to it and I don't know how many different contacts inside. I replaced the switch and haven't heard anything since. No news is good news I hope. You're going to need a good set of schematics. I printed about 20 pages from this guy's Alldata disks. I'm not saying it's your problem, but it's worth checking.
