Because I needed to re-wire the whole car and I'm using alot of aftermarket goodies, I bought a Factory Fit 18 circuit set-up for my '69. I'm sure its pretty similar to the Painless...

So the first question I have is..... how are you guys mounting the fuse box and running the wires through the firewall ???

The reason I'm asking is, with this set-up there is no "master plug" for the front harnesses that basically plugs into the back of the fusebox, through the firewall opening, like the stock set-up.... All the wires come off the fuse panel and then need to be routed to their destination....

It looks like the fusebox will mount with the original holes but once again, their is no plug to fit into the square opening, seal it up and mate with another plug from the engine side..

Are you making a block off plate for the original hole and running the wires through a grommet or what ?????

Like I said, I'm sure the Painless is basicaly the same set-up...........

If anyone has pix of what they did, it would be great.
