I have a 1969 camaro that hase been restored recently. It was wired for the new style alternator but was done poorly. when we restored the car we went all original with the old style. we went off of the wiring diagram and was sure we did it correctly but we get no charge. the genorator has one positive wire (red) to the pos post. then there is a white wire and a blue wire that plug into the back of the genorator. Does it matter which side the blue wire and white wire go? also the voltage regulator dose not have a condencer, would that be a problem? If any of this is wrong will it kill the volt reg or alternator? THE BIG QUESTION is: Is there a quick fix that I could wire up to get the battery to charge until I can find the answers?????
Thanks!

Yes, it matters which wire goes into which terminal on the back of the alternator. Blue wire goes to the terminal labeled F on the alternator. White wire goes to R terminal.
