Hello all, I was told the is a little black box I can get that will override the emmissions controls on the 3rd gen fuel injected. I was wondering if this is true, and if it is, where can I get one? My egr and a few other vaccuum leaks are the problem, and I tried to fix all these, and it still doesn't run right. It runs better, but still not how it was a couple months ago. Please let me know if anyone has heards of such a thing. Thank you.

I'd take it to someone who knows how to work on cars the right way and fix what your problem is instead of "bypassing" things.
I don't know how you'll have a chance of passing emissions especially where you live.I've never heard of this "blackbox" your referring to.Fix it right.

Never heard of black box.But you can test ECM by running jumpper wire from A to B terminal on ALDL port to retreive codes via flashing check engine light. That should get you started as far as vacum check the hoses and components of the EECS-charcoal canister and purge valve it's hosed with the EGR on third Gen.
