I have a 55 Shoe box that is burning up resistors. Any Ideas as to why????
Also I need to know what is necessary to convert to HEI

Leaving the key on with the engine not running will burn them up quick. It could also be a bad coil. Converting to HEI is easy on these ceramic resistor cars. You just run the wire that goes from the ignition switch to the resistor right to the BAT terminal on the HEI and toss the resistor.

Also, a large body HEI will take a little firewall work to get it to clear.
