I noticed in a rear lighting wiring diagram that there are suppose to be right and left corner lamps in convertibles. This is on page 176 of the 68 Camaro assembly manual (UPC 12, D4). Anyone got a picture of where these are and what they look like? Were these an option or standard on all convertibles?
Thanks!

Look in the picture in my signature. They were standard on all 68's. Interestingly enough, I looked at every picture on your website and I could never see the rear panel on your car to see if you have them.

i believe you are talking about the courtesy lamps that were standard on verts because the lack of a dome lamp. i dont have the 68 manual but i think the 69 also has a similar wiring diagram which is a bit confusing. it says its for the rear panel but it also says that there is a dome lamp too. so i do believe they are for the interior. i have 2 verts and they only have them for the front compartment.

Sorry for the last response. I looked up the diagram you are refering to. Now I think this is refering to the under dash courtesy lights. These take the place of the dome light in the coupe. I understood these to be on all convertibles.

Ahh... it threw me with them being on the 'Body & Rear Lighting' diagram. I've noticed the under dash lamps on my car, but when I saw this diagram and it was labeled 'Rear' I assumed they were in the rear of the car.

I seem to recall seeing a picture of a 68 with rear courtesy lamps in the curved, foreward, part of the rear armrest, I think the lights were curved as well. If I run across it I’ll send it to you.

Larger convertibles, like the GTO and Chevelle have these curved light fixtures mounted in the front inner corner of the rear arm rests, but Camaro's don't or at least I've never seen a set. I removed a set from a GTO in a bone yard about 15 years ago and they are somewhere in my garage.

Thanks for the information!
I'll take a look at a convertible Chevelle I know of just out of curiosity.
