Guys, this is merely a suggestion for the moderators. Should the board be listed as a first and second gen. board ? Maybe just under the logo ? I've noticed a rash of 3rd and 4th gen. questions as of late. OR, maybe, a new Forum for non 1st or 2nd gen questions ? I'm not trying to exclude anyone, I just don't want to wade through some of this stuff. I know there are other boards that do cater to 3rd and 4th geners.

TJ - The site is intended to be 1st gen by design. The good nature and quality of answers from the guys and gals that frequent Team Camaro has caused owners of other generations to frequent the forums. I can't speak for Al, he's the web master and owns the site. These are my views and perspectives. I can tell you it isn't easy to keep a site like this going and to expand means more work. It takes lots of research to expand properly and provide the same quality 2nd gen information that is here for the 1st gen. Adding 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen forums is easy but it wouldn't be very good without breaking each down into sub forums. It also wouldn't be a good thing to provide forums without technical refrence elsewhere on the site to support the forums.
Al and I have discussed this several times in recent past and I know he labors over what direction to take the site. There is a great 2nd gen site, ( www.nastyz28.com (http://www.nastyz28.com) ) the owner hangs out here sometimes. He's been faced with like issues with respect to 1st gen information. What he's done is pull in the ropes and removed all 1st gen info from the pages of his site. I don't think the folks over there would turn away someone with a 1st gen problem in the forums but the theme is strictly 2nd gen...
As I surf the Camaro sites I keep thinking maybe an alliance could be struck between several sites. Imagine something like this. 4 seperate and independantly run sites (1 per generation) hubbed together say at a site like the WCA's ( www.worldwidecamaro.com (http://www.worldwidecamaro.com) ) site. The WCA has forums already but they are not very active and most of the players there frequent other forum sites already. So what would happen if this were to work is the WCA would clean out their forums ( http://65.18.159.167/cgi-bin/spool//ultimatebb.cgi ) and restructure them so tech support for each generation was a link to the 4 independant sites. The WCA would keep their club forums and WCA specific stuff.
This could benefit everyone if facilitated properly. The Camaro internet world would get united over a common love of Camaros and all it would take is a few properly placed links and a little commitment to support each other.
Well enough rambling for now!!!

Here's an example coming the other way. While I'm interested in all things Camaro, this is better publicized here.
Someone from the CRG might be interested in the depicted car. It could be a smooth publicity ploy, or it could be someone who wants to get the word out about a rare or special Camaro.
Al, Dennis, and or anyone from the CRG, feel free to take that image and the text and use it as you wish. If you want to get in touch with the fellow, email me. I don't know if he's emailed the stuff to you as well.

Dennis and Al - I love the site.
Madmike - Your 2nd gen. site is awesome too.
What inspired my thoughts, was mainly that I used to frequent the CamaroZ28.com in their "Classic" message board area. They too had a very knowledgeable customer base. They were eventually over-run by new wannabees and now none of the "old" posters are there. I just don't want to see the same happen here.
