Saw this on Ebay. Those are nice belts but the price seems a bit too high

I agree with you, but if you have THE car that needs those belts and you have the bucks, well.....

obviously, some folks think it's worth it. $699 with an hour to go. Mint blue is hard to find. BTW, Shaun knows the value of things, but I've found him to be very honest.

Plus, that is a VERY nice set of belts... personally I would never spend that money on belts.

I bet that I could buy a blue car for that amount.
But then it probably would not have seat belts :D

I am a new member, and I have just bought a 69 Camaro that has been off the road since 86. I actually has a pristine original Blue interior. I was going to change it to Black, however after reading this post I am curious are Blue interiors really rare or is there really something special about these seat belts? Mine are just like these. I would appreciate any insite you may have. Thank you

Blue is an awesome interior color, and I would never change it to basic black. Black interiors are a dime a dozen and blue is considered rare. As long as your exterior matches within the color groups, leave it blue.

As for the belts, thats fair market value for a set as mint as those ones in the auction are. I know the bidder and he has a real nice car that I am sure those belts will compliment very nicely.

If your restoring a concourse car, it's not about price, it's about the product, and those were nice nice nice! I have black houndstooth interior with deluxe belts, and they cost me 350.00 before I ever had them restored.

$.02

my 68 SS was originally Lemans blue with blue interior and is now White with black interior in a way after seeing the price of blue seatbelts I'm glad it's not original.

One thing, everyone forgets the firebird! These are the same belts for a 69 Firebird Trans-Am. Those cars only came with blue interior and this set would make a fine addition to a Trans-Am. $699 to a Trans-Am guy to finish his big buck resto is reasonable. smile.gif
