A while back someone posted about a front bucket seat mod. for the taller driver. I can think of a way to do it, but this person seemed to have a slick idea that could be reversed in about 10 mins. or so. Anyone know what I'm talking about or have any ideas?

Use the search function and look for "seat extenders", should answer your questions just fine. I made a set of these for my car and it really helped quite a bit.( I'm 6'3"/285lbs., can use all the extra room I can get!)

I can't seem to find the drawing he had made up. He's posted it here a couple of times.

Thanks Blue, Joe, I guess I didn't use the right words in the search. I'll try again.

I made some for my '68 too. There are some pics on my website I believe... towards the end of the interior section.

Here's a shot of mine...I posted this before. And yes it is reversible in about 10 minutes. Everything bolts in and out. I'm just under 6'6", so I got about 5 extra inches of legroom and a bit more headroom as well.

And here's the finished product. You can see the passenger seat is all the way back in the stock position.

Hope this helps.

Thank You John, Steve, and Jim. That's just what I needed. The pics. and drawings relly help make it clear. Not as complicated as I imagined.
Being 6'4" I will get a lot of benefit from these, and won't have to slouch in the seat or rub a hole in the headliner with my head.
Time to hit the garage. Thanks again. Tom
