I have been looking for a carbon fiber center dash panel for my 67 RS. I have the Covan’s Carbon Fiber 6 gauge instrument panel and am very happy with it.
I don’t like the cheep tin center dash panel and I thought it would look nice if it matched the instruments panel. However, I have look about everywhere and I can’t find one.
I have also looked in to the supplies to make one but, I don’t know if I have the time or talent to work with carbon fiber.
Any ideas where to get this item or a person or business that will do custom work like this.

I think that Classic Industries carry them. $109, the same price as the 6 or 5 guage dash

Im not sure of any company that does carbon fiber work but I bet there is someone here that does. Keep checking in. I built this one using flat steel and 2-1/4" exaust pipe. Took a little time but its what I was after with this car. Just wanted it different. I think one made from carbon fiber would look great! Are you looking for a stock looking piece but is made of fiber? Then put your factory controls back in it?

We just got the center panel from Covans however the panels they are making are for 4 gauges, whether you order drilled or blank (check their site). If you are planning on using the original equipment such as heater controls, radio, ashtray, it doesnt work. BTW it is actually a molded plastic with a carbon fiber look finish not real carbon fiber. Works good for our application as we are painting it same color as dash.

Your dash setup is sweet, good job.Did you completely get rid of the heater controls?Did you also have to cut out any of the center console framing to get the gauges to fit?

Kool, My new vintage air control is mounted on my console above the shifter. Added a center vent there also. Not seen in that picture due to age of picture. My radio section had been cut out prior to getting the car and I did trim more of it away.

I've been toying with the same idea. I am thinking about getting carbon fiber sheet adhesive trim and just cutting it out and laying it over the stock dash insert. I think it would probably lay down easier on the wood grained panel instead of the pebble finished stock panel. I have seen this stuff at truck outfitters sites, but I'm not sure of how realistic it looks.
