HI all, I have a 68 AC car..Got the old Panels out with the help of a Sawsall...Got the new driver side panel in with the help of a 12 pack. Anyway now to the Passenger side...Does the AC box have to come out or is there some sort of secret to getting it in?? If the AC/Heater Box has to come out what is involved with that??

THANKS!!!

I put them in a non-AC car and it took a little fanangling to get them in. I had the dash pad out and the heater box out when I put them in though. Basically, I had to twist them into position... the back vent part of the panel slips into the hole there... and I had to begin with the panel turned about 90 degrees toward the interior (i.e., the top long piece pointing towards the seats) and slipped in the top part of the vent piece... then rotated the whole panel into position... as I rotated it the panel started to slip into place... then a little pressure popped it in.

Good luck. Hope that helps.

I did mnie (non-AC) too, it was a bear, swzall to get em out for sure, back in the way boodle said... don't know if/how much extra room AC would take, would think not much on that end, this job's just a bear
