Well I went an did it. I broke the control lever for my defroster on my 69 Camaro heater controls. I don't see anything available in the specialty catalogs. Can it be had anywhere or do I have to buy the whole control?

My heater control broke also, You can either buy a complete unit from the resto catalogs or what I did was get a used control from E-Bay. They are lised all the time. I got mine for $45. Good luck

I pieced together two old ones, by replacing the broken levers. I couldnt get the speed clips stay on, so I put them on as best I could and put a few drops of epoxy over them.

Is the defrost lever only available for the the '67 and '68's?

I replaced the broken one in my '67 with a repop from Ricks and it works great.

I broke off the very tip of the defroster lever where the knob is. Can that be repaired.

67 68 are the only years I have seen.

Replacement levers are only available for 67-68, nothing for the 69.

I broke a lever on mine last year and tried to repair it. Didn't work. I had to get a used unit (spent $70) and put a new lens on it. Is it possible to swap levers from one unit to another? If my old one has the good lever you need, maybe they can be swapped.

Thanks Dave. Let me know if it is good and how much. I have replaced them on my 67 Chevy pickup. Shouldn't be a problem.
