O.k. I don't know what took longer....painting my car, puting it back together, or updating my webpages so I could show you my first paint job :D I'll have to get better pics when it quits raining around here (it does that on occasion) :D

Mike, I DID use the aftermarket set, and they fit like a glove graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Patti, Nice to hear from you!! I DO have a shiny new Flowmaster exhaust w/2chamber mufflers ;) Ithink the club is heading down to Ocean Shores on June 5th for "Camaros in the sand", but I'll be up in LaConner at a show at that time...I crashed my computer a while back, please shoot me your email so we can stay in touch!!

Joe, It WAS a fat bunch of work to get it in paint. The car was mostly straight when I got it, but had many little dings and a few creases down by the rockers. And now for my next trick...I will attempt to build a 375+hp 383 :D
Thanks for the props guys (and Patti ;) ) I will take her out and get some pics with a better backdrop instead of my primer colored garage.lol

The older I get, the betterer I is.lol I already have pics of Patti and her husband (super good people to have as friends BTW), The Camaro is what I was referring to Dennis ;) I really love it when I go out for a cruise now and people ask me "who did the paint... ...it looks great" I get to say Maaco (then I tell them it was me) I give many thanks to this site for all of the tips and tricks I have learned over the past 3 years!! I have made friendships, tackled things I never thought possible, and besides all that, it gives us an escape from the rat-race. I almost liked the car better BEFORE the paint job. At least I could take Lily out for a bite to eat and not have to stare at the car the whole time to make sure nobody opens their door into mine.lol

WOW!!! If that's your first paint job, its pretty impressive. Great job. Maybe with the money you saved doing it yourself you can take a rain-free vacation to Vegas. The sun is always out here (and the MOON too). :D

lookin good dan graemlins/thumbsup.gif . my cousin ken (the guy you ran into at schmucks, that was funny by the way), said it looks real nice, i cant wait to see it in person, way to go.
so a 383 huh? more horsepower, now your talkin my language. the more power bug has left my poor camaro with 20/20 paint, but from behind, at the track, mine still looks pretty good :D . your job does give me some motivation to get going on my paint however.
nice job, i'll see you around!

will do dan. i'm looking forward to seeing the ride in person.
yes, without being there i can imagine kens car was a bit sideways, he does that sometimes ;) . actually, he's the reason i built the current 406 i have, he had fast e.t., and i couldn't accept that. hes the same way, i know i need to put together another motor, since he knows how fast my car is now, his will have to be faster. if his Z was on the road i'd probably already have my procharged 434 i've got in the back of my mind :D
look forward to seeing you again.
