I just got a chance to buy this car. It's a '68 RS ragtop. Blue with white Z-stripes.
Got a 327 2bbl in it and a "custom-made" interior.
If you follow this link you can see a pic of the interior, but is this a correct deluxe interior as the headrest is not in the same color as the seat? http://hobbystage.net/camaro/camaro_crew
Thanks

As he said, this is a custom interior. Nowhere near standard interior, but very nice looking.
But what is the exact difference? I found my NPD catalog and the '68 deluxe seats looks pretty much the same, the only difference I can see is they used white leather instead of blue leather on the seats. If you look at the pic on my site and this pic, which I found on the internet, I don't see differences. http://www.autoupholsterykits.com/chevypics/68camdeluxe.jpg
Can anyone help me finding any difference??
Thanks

Head rests are not part of the seat in a 1st gen. It looks like a nicely done interior but I can't see enough to say whats really different. The fronts look like they are modified stock seats and recovered to include the headrest area giving a modern 1 piece look... The white center sections may just make it look that way.
Maybe the white seat covers came from the same place as the ones you are referencing...

My brain is letting me down now (11:00 pm here http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif) so maybe I'm asking it in the wrong way. I'll try to rephrase my question:
What if the white center sections were also blue, would this then be a bad repro, a descent repro, or a good/excellent repro if you only look at the shape/proportions of the seat and not the colors? I mean does the white section start where it should start, is the bowtie emblem on the backrest in the exact place etc. (I've never "studied" the interior before, so this is relatively new to me)
But because Unreal wrote "Nowhere near standard interior...." I'm doubting my intelligence http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif.
thanks again

My friend has a cars interiors shop, so we made the best effort to duplicate the original design on my deluxe interiors. We followed the marks on the back seat foam, and also using photos from catalogs and cars at car shows to emulate the pattern. What I can only see is that the car on the photo you found on internet, as well as on my car, the back seats only have six horizontal bands or upholstery stripes opposed to the seven the car you mention in the original post has. Don't know if I make myself understand tho. The work is nice but they are not catalog pieces, IMO.
