I bought a set of deluxe buckets from a 67 that was in an accident. The driver's seat leans really far back and the passenger seat seems a bit twisted. Can the frames on these seats be straightened or did I just waist my money? I'd hate to junk them because the covers and padding are perfect.

You should be able to straighten them. The one that leans back will be the easiest to fix. There is a large phillips headed bolt in the lower edge of the seat back that is threaded through a bent metal tang. You could bend the tang or adjust that bolt. This bolt also contacts an oval hard rubber stop on the seat bottom. Check to make sure the oval stop is still there.
If you take the covers off, you can see how simply both the seat bottom and back frames are constructed. They are basically just four pieces of thick sheet metal welded together with the arms welded on the sides. The seat springs just clip into holes perforated in the frames and come out real easy. The hardest part is recovering and getting the hog rings through both the foam buns and the vinyl spline flap. The vinyl spline flat goes into the valley of the seat buns and keeps the center part of the vinyl depressed into the buns and keeps the contour correct.
