in a 69 Camaro?
I'm going to get kicked off the drag strip my first pass if I don't have it, but I'm trying to make this car appear like it's a restoration car and not a torque monster.
The door bars I'm not worried about since those will be removable, but what about the rest?
Thanks in advance.

Not if it's done properly. There is no way for it not to be seen. You can, however, try to blend it in with the rest of the interior by painting it to match and making color coordinating vinyl covers for it. Good luck with your porject and post plenty of pics.

Vinyl covers was in the direction I was looking. Thanks.
Painting it is a must, and I was thinking carpet wrapping some of it would just look like crap.

a good fabricator can tuck it up and "hide" it behind things, like the window post, etc., and make it look very good. there is no way to totally hide it of course. but, if its well done, painted interior color and so on, it will be easy to miss, but be appreciated by those who see it.
also just keep in mind the bar has to be padded anywhere the drivers head may contact it, you'll be denied at the track without it.
also, what do you expect it to run out of curiosity?

Oh, it'll be padded. lol I've been racing for years, but this is my first project that I'm planning to make look as stock as possible from the outside.
I'm shooting for 10s (but I'd probably only ever run it heads up for fun)--I think that should keep me entertained for a garage queen, plus I won't have to step up to the 8 point cage.
