graemlins/thumbsup.gif For those of you interested in installing front shoulder belts in a First Gen, but don't care much about originality, just saw a Buick Le Sabre with some neat front buckets seats. They have the shoulder restrain system coming out of an assembly near the head rest. They didn't look bad at all, good enough to be considered/studied for a future proyect.

What you didn't see are the reinforcements that help tie the seat attachments to the floorpan back to the rocker structure. Full-size GM trucks and luxury cars use this system (called All Belts to Seat, or ABTS). My concern in adapting this seat to a body not designed for it is in case of an accident, the seat belt loads going through the seat into the floor could cause the floor to fail and the system to not protect you. Just a thought.

Think you're right, maybe needs floor reinforcement.
