maybe a dumb question, looked in the archives to avoid possable embarassment,no luck. There is about a half inch hole in my dash carrier to the right of the wiper switch. It looks factory and I have seen other carriers with the same hole in the same location. What was this for? or is this just a good spot for somone to put a toggle. any info please?

Probably the power top switch cutout for a convertible?

I believe it is for the woodgrain finisher
stud. On cars without woodgrain there is no hole.

Being it's a coupe, rear defogger.
