I have a 67 convertible with a January build date that I would like to know if my belts are correct for the car. The car has a standard interior. The belts look original and have a GM label that reads GM 1688738, Model #3536 Allied Chemical. The buckle covers have a GM logo instead of the Fisher coach. According to thr Rick's catalog they should have a Hamill C-10 logo. Are my belts correct and do all 67's use the Fisher Body Coach logo button. As usual thanks for your expertise.

Look on your cowl tag, it should have a 5Y if you have deluxe seat belts. There should also be a date code on the belts, like 10b 66 or 12d 66, something like that, the number being the month and the letter the week. your deluxe belts have a chrome buckle with the fisher body coach on it. The stander ones have a black buckle with the GM logo on it.

The only Buckle manufacturers that I know were on Camaros were Irvins (standard) and Hammill (deluxe) I think the Allied are later belts. The Hammill C-10 from Ricks is for Corvettes only and is not correct for Camaros. I don't know why they still have them in their catalog. For 67 you should have a coach logo button for sure regardless of standard or deluxe!

Thanks for your replies. I do want to be as close as possible on originality and these are standard belts with the standard interior. On page 251 of Jason Scotts book "Camaro Restoration Guide 1967-69" there is a photo indicating "unrestored 1967 Camaro seatbelt latches." These have GM logos instead of Fisher coach labels. The photo could be wrong but I would like my car correct and guess I should replace my labels with the Fisher logo.
