I have 69 seats in my 68. That is what the previous owner replaced the cuda seats that were in it with. I have bought some 68 seats that do not have the headrest. The problem is the bottom half on the driver's side is in bad shape with broken springs and everything. I was wondering if the bottom half of the 69's are the same so I could just swap over the bottom part from the 69. I know the upholstery is different but I don't care about that. I just want to drive this thing and enjoy it for now until I pull it in for the full resto. Will it work?

I’m pretty sure they are the same.

Geezer let me first say thank you I do appreciate it, but does anybody know for sure? It's kind of like going to look at a car to buy and the seller says "ya I'm pretty sure there isn't any rust". :D

By "the bottom half" are you refering to the complete bottom seat assembly or are you going to remove the seat cover and swap the springs and foam to the '68 seat and replace the cover over that?
The spring assemblies (bottom and two side springs) are interchangable as is the foam.
The seat base assemblies could be the same depending on the interior type and seat options.
