Can anyone tell me if comfortweave upholstery will fit a car that was originally equipped with a "standard" vinyl interior?
Do I need a deluxe interior back seat, or can I use my standard interior back seat?

Unless you have a convertible, you will need the deluxe back seat, since it's shorter, and you also need new front seat foam, as they are different than standard seat foam too.
Then, when you get the shorter rear seat you need the filler pieces that fit between the seat and quarter window and sail panel area.
If you have a fold down rear seat, you can put the comfortweave covers on it, if you get the ones for a fold down rear since they have a notch in the right rear corner for the latch assembly. fold downs are the same width as convertible seats and deluxe seats in a coupe.

Mark C. is a little confused on that one.
The regular Comfortweave seats are the same width as the plain seats and the houndstooth seats.
The convert and the fold down seat option use the same narrow witdth seat so those covers are the same.
If you have a coupe (without the fold down rear seat), you can use the standard width covers in plain, houndstooth or comfortweave.
Front seat buns are different so you will need the deluxe type for any of the optional style covers.

That's true, the non folding deluxe rear seat is the same width as the standard coupe rear seat therefore you can just recover the rear seat. However, the back of a folding rear seat is not the same as a non folding convertible rear seat. In 69 there is a notch in the right rear corner of the seat back for the latch assembly so you need the correct upholstery for that set up. 67 and 68 folding rear seat backs are the same as 67 thru 69 convertible rear seats since they do not have this notch in them.
67's coupes with deluxe interiors was the only year that got the shorter rear seat and arm rests when upgrading to the deluxe interior.

I put in Houndstooth covers over my standard seats. Fit is perfect. Standard width rear seat... no problem.
I originally bought the Deluxe seat buns to replace my Standard seat buns for the front buckets... but the Upholster told me that he could make it work with the starndard seat buns. He was right.. looks great.
I was able to return the Deluxe seat buns which saved me some big bucks.
