I would like to install the dash and console from a late model car into my 67 Camaro and I was wondering if anyone has done this before? Does anyone have any recommendations of a particular car that should work with the least amount of fabrication? I would like to install the dash and console out of a 97-02 camaro but I think the dash is too deep do to the heavily sloped windshield.

I wish my memory was better, but there was an article in one of the classic car mags (two years ago?)about a first gen Camaro that got a dash/ interior transplant from a late model Camaro. Looked realy good but they had to do extensive fabrication/ modification to the car to fit everything.
Try searching the internet, I'll bet there are pics and story on it somewhere. I think it may have been in Chevy Perfomance magazine.

Thanks choptop for the reply. I've been searching all over the web but I can't seem to find anything for a first gen camaro. I guess I will keep looking.

Choptop,
I bet you're thinking of the "Twister" car built by the Tuckers.
Mahan67rs, you can check it out at www.detroitspeed.com (http://www.detroitspeed.com)
There is also someone on this board that put '97 Firebirsd seats and console in their convertable. Might try a search for that?
