Good luck. bertfam Nov 27th, 02, 03:15 PM Ricks sells them (P/N HR-29) for $71.00 each... My 2 cents, Guy JohnZ Nov 29th, 02, 12:06 PM The rag joint repair kits don't even come close to original quality, and can be dangerous; I'd buy the correct GM part. Steering is no place to save money. ------------------ JohnZ CRG '69 Z28 Fathom Green kamero68 Nov 29th, 02, 07:43 PM I bought a new one for my 68 over the counter at the Chevy dealer. He just looked it up in the parts book and went to the back and pulled it off the shelf. I had some bolts stored in the old box, but I threw it out about a week ago, so I dont have the part number any more. Call the dealer, he might still show it in the catalog, mine did. http://community.webshots.com/user/wsm9808 [This message has been edited by kamero68 (edited 11-29-2002).] Mark C Nov 30th, 02, 03:32 AM Part number for 67 to 69 with Power Steering is (was in 69) 7806390. Section 6.525 - called a coupling unit. Without Power Steering is 7806391. Tilt or non tilt column doesn't matter. ------------------ Mark Canning 1969 Indy Pace Car 350/300HP RPO Z11 My 69 L48 - 350/300HP Engine (http://www.townisp.com/~markcanning/camaro/transparent%20air%20cleaner3.jpg) DRJDVM Nov 30th, 02, 06:54 PM Is that a GM part number ??? I tried to find it on GM partsdirect.com, but the search didnt find anything. I tried rag joint and coupling joint too.... maybe they dont carry it... Mark C Dec 1st, 02, 03:19 AM the 7806390 and 91 are GM part numbers out of an October of 69 GM Parts manual.
