Anybody know how to get the glovebox lock off a 69 glovebox? It has me boggled!

If you look at the small slots near one end, you'll see a brass 'key', like the tumblers. I used a stiff piece of bent wire or a very small allen wrench (can't remember which) to push the key in. If you mess with it a while, you should be able to get the cylinder with the tumblers to come loose. It wasn't easy! I may even have had to have the key in it, I'm not sure.

OOPS.... I misread yer post. That's how to get the lock apart once it's out of the door.

I'll look at mine again tonight and let you know how I did it.
