I'm converting my 67 from a column shift to a B&M floor shift and I need to know how far back from the firewall I need to mount it. I've seen some mounted too far back and they just don't look right. How far back was the original floor shift mounted? Would those measurements work? If anyone out there can help me out I'd appreciate it.

I dont have exact measurments, but you can get an idea from the assembly manual. I have it on my site if needed. its in section UPC1-C5

Should be some dimples on the tunnel that will get you in the right spot.

On my 67 the shifter handle is 22 inches from firewall to center of handle.

sit in your driver's side seat and just reach your hand out and see where it'd feel best for you. Make it customized to how you'd like it best. My 2 cents.
