I just recieved my custom autosound USA-2 from Classic. I installed it and it won't work. The light comes on in the front but all I see is the old am face look. I believe it should change to a clock or digital readout???. I have two rear speakers hooked up, both the power wires hooked up and the ground. Please help@!!

Do you have the "memory" wire hooked up? I think it is the yellow or orange wire (one is memory; one is remote). It will not work unless the memory wire is connected to a non-switched (always on) power source.
We just installed the same radio in Kent's 69 ragtop and went through the same thing.
Also the pins for the power plug do not make a very good connection. When the connection loses contact it has the same symptoms; light on but no one home. We are trying to figure out how to squeeze the tiny plugs to make them tighter without damaging it.
Very frustrating to have the radio quit when you are driving! graemlins/sad.gif
Second radio; same issue. Seems like they would do a better job on design/assembly. :(

thanks for the info Joe. I did have both red and Orange hooked up to a full time battery supply just to make sure it would work. The Yellow wire is for the electric Antenae. All I have so far is the light on the front lights up and the old am radio front look. I will have to check the plug connector and see if that works better. I just put a coat of Epoxy on the floor pan so will have to wait until it drys.(50 degrees outside) Finally. graemlins/hurray.gif

Good luck. Today we used a eyeglass screwdriver and we were able to fit it into each of the female prongs in the plug. We bent the corners of each prong in a bit and now the plug is nice and tight. It hasn't quit working yet! graemlins/hurray.gif

Joe G & sudo, I'm thinking about a custom auto sound system. Are you guys still happy with yours?
