Anyone know what to use to fix cracks and a small hole in a center console. I was thinking fiberglass but I dont think I would get the look of the grain.

thanks

Slomaro;

You may want to think about contacting "Just Dashes". If the console piece can be "recovered" much like how they do dash work, it could be an answer.

Their shop is near me and I know that they will do custom work (but you may have to talk the owner into it).

The vinyl that they use comes in a large sheet and they use a combination of heat and vacumn table to shape it. It comes in a bunch of different grains. Although only in black, it can be color matched with PPG vinyl dye.

Try JB plastic & a piece of vinyl with the same grain on it. While the JB plastic is still wet press the vinyl into it just long enough to leave the imprent in the repair & remove it before the JB plastic sets up. Then use a high quality vinyl dye & renew the finish on the entire Console. Looks great & no one can tell the repaired area is there.
